Jeffrey R. Gleit
Jeffrey R. Gleit is a partner in the New York office and leader of the Bankruptcy & Restructuring Group. His practice consists of representing debtors, hedge funds, private equity funds, financial institutions and trade creditors in restructuring distressed companies. Jeff works with clients in a variety of industries, including financial, energy, automotive, retail, telecommunications and manufacturing. He regularly advises boards of directors in distressed situations and provides counsel to parties to credit default swap transactions. Jeff also represents professional athletes in connection with identifying investment, licensing and branding opportunities, as well as advising on business formation, partnership agreements and joint ventures.
Jeff was named a New York Super Lawyer for the years 2013-2017 as well as a "Rising Star" in 2011 and 2012. He was also recognized by Law360 as a "Rising Star" in 2014, and was selected by Turnarounds & Workouts as an "Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer" in 2012.
