Representative Client Work

  • Represented the Conservation Law Foundation in support of the Cape Wind offshore wind project off the coast of Massachusetts, including in federal court litigation, administrative, and regulatory matters
  • Served as North American counsel for a major vertically integrated renewable energy company, advising on offshore wind joint venture structuring, debt and equity investments, and regulatory matters
  • Advised developers with respect to proposed offshore wind projects off the coast of New Jersey
  • Represented an infrastructure development, management, and operations company building out a portfolio of wind power generation assets
  • Performed due diligence supporting the purchase of a controlling interest in a 450 MW portfolio of three wind projects by the infrastructure fund of a major U.S. bank
  • Represented a leading European bank as lender to a nearly 400 MW wind generating facility in Texas
  • Provided counsel for wind developer in its application to qualify for the Production Tax Credit "Safe Harbor"
  • Advised a wind company in the negotiation of power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, and other project financing documents
  • Assisted in the representation of leading global infrastructure investor in the acquisition of a portfolio of wind projects in the U.S. totaling over 1 GW
  • Advised the North American subsidiary of a leading European utility on the tax equity financing by institutional banks for a portfolio of wind projects in the United States
  • Represented wind developer in a 40 MW project in New England
  • Represented the subsidiary of a leading Japanese trading company in the development of a 50+ MW wind project in Mexico
  • Reviewed and redesigned the financing structure for the development and ownership of a portfolio of wind companies by a leading private equity fund
  • Represented a Swedish company in the development of wind projects
  • Assisted a wind turbine manufacturer with application for the U.S. Department of Energy Loan Guarantee Program
  • Assisted a large regulated U.S. utility to determine rate consequences of direct ownership of wind farm versus contracting for power through power purchase agreements with third party power providers
  • Assisted a private equity fund in designing novel financing structure for development and ownership of portfolio of wind companies
