Boston, MA – April 5, 2010 – Sullivan & Worcester LLP today announced the kick-off of a new speaker series, “Front & Center,” which will feature leaders and visionaries in global politics, economics and business. U.S. Senator Paul G. Kirk, Jr., a former partner at the firm who was appointed to Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat until January’s special election, will headline the inaugural event on Tuesday, April 27 at 5:00 p.m. at the Langham Hotel in downtown Boston.
"We wanted to develop an informative and thought-provoking series to provide our clients with insights and analysis essential to their businesses,” said Joel R. Carpenter, co-managing partner of Sullivan & Worcester. "Our goal is to provide access to thought leaders from various industries so that our clients, colleagues and friends can gain a deeper understanding of key issues facing today’s businesses, including evolving financial markets, trends in global competitiveness, future regulatory changes and how technology is changing business."
Senator Kirk will discuss his recent legislative experience and what went through his mind as he cast his vote on healthcare reform from Sen. Ted Kennedy’s desk.
