Richard H. Goldman is a former partner and now of counsel in the Real Estate and Trusts & Estates Departments of our Boston office. His practice includes acquisitions and sales of commercial real estate, leasing, financing, probate and estate planning and representation of closely held businesses and non-profit entities.

Representative Client Work

  • Represented several major Boston Banks in commercial lending transactions, including construction loan projects in several states
  • Represented clients in the acquisition and leasing of office buildings, industrial and research and development facilities
  • Represented a major pension fund in a significant shared appreciation mortgage loan secured by a major shopping center on the New Hampshire and Massachusetts line
  • Represented a client in connection with a Joint Venture for development of a major suburban shopping center and numerous office leasing transactions
  • Represented a landlord in two significant leases of medical office space to a major Boston healthcare institution
  • Advised clients on real estate insurance and construction issues
  • Represented several clients in the acquisition, operation and sale of several successful closely held businesses, including but not limited to a major travel company, a licensee of Caterpillar, and an operator of a premium business
  • Represented several clients in the drafting and revision of Estate Plans and have acted as attorney, executor and trustee for several estates and trusts
  • Former Special Counsel for Grove Bank, a publicly traded company and UST Capital Corp., an affiliate of Boston based United States Trust Company
