Hugh P. Finnegan is a partner and the co-director of the Real Estate Department. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Finnegan was a partner in the New York law firm of Siller Wilk LLP. He has over 27 years of experience as a real estate attorney with particular expertise in the following areas: commercial real estate financings (acquisitions, bridge, construction, project and mezzanine), loan restructurings and workouts, representing lenders and borrowers; sales and acquisitions of undeveloped and developed properties, including so-called “Green” developments; representing landlords and tenants in leasing transactions for offices, warehouses, shopping centers, restaurants and other retail users; and construction matters.

Representative Client Work
- Represented Anglo Irish Bank in providing acquisition financing for a non-U.S. purchaser of a well-known New York property, with the closing occurring in a period of less than two weeks from contract execution
- Represented a New York-based lender in numerous construction project and mezzanine loans
- Represented a non-U.S. purchaser of a New York City property with landmark status
- Represented a non-U.S. owner of high-end retail properties throughout the United States (acquisition, financing and leasing matters)
- Represent multiple commercial banks in the sale of distressed loans
- Represent lending and other institutions in the purchase of loan packages
