S. Patrick Morin Jr.

Associate

Patrick Morin Jr. is an associate in the Real Estate Department of Sullivan & Worcester’s Boston office. Mr. Morin’s practice focuses on a wide variety of commercial transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions and financings involving various office buildings, hospitality properties, senior living facilities and government properties, some of which are multi-state, portfolio transactions. His practice includes a particular focus on the representation of real estate investment trusts (REITs). Mr. Morin also works closely with the Climate-Related Business & Technology Group on climate-related and alternative energy projects.

In law school Mr. Morin was a Daniel Webster Honors Scholar, the Senior Research Editor for the Pierce Law Review and, during his last semester, he externed for the Honorable Judge Jeffrey R. Howard, U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Morin was an Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Representative Client Work

  • Represented a publicly held REIT in the $136 million acquisition of a multi-use development in Phoenix, Arizona
  • Assisted a private investor in the development and the negotiation of contractual agreements under the Massachusetts solar carve-out renewable energy credit program
  • Represented a local business trust in the $13 million disposition of several office buildings in downtown Boston
  • Assisted a travel center business in $5 million acquisition of their corporate headquarters in Ohio
  • Represented a publicly held REIT in the $46 million acquisition of four office buildings and the assumption of existing debt on the properties located in Folsom, California
  • Represented a borrower in the $118 million refinancing of an office building in Boston, Massachusetts
