Michael W. Fenn is an associate in the Real Estate Department of our Boston office. His practice focuses on commercial acquisitions and dispositions by both domestic and foreign investors, financings, real estate investment trusts (REITs), 1031 like-kind exchanges and leasing from both a landlord and tenant perspective.

Representative Client Work

  • Represented a publicly held REIT in a $62 million acquisition of university office buildings as part of a reverse like-kind 1031 exchange
  • Represented a tenant-in-common (TIC) and Delaware-statutory-trust (DST) sponsors in all aspects of TIC and DST offerings involving over $150 million of real estate 
  • Represented a buyer in a $7 million sale/lease-back transaction involving over 200,000 square feet of office space with national tenant
  • Represented an off-shore buyer in connection with a $5 million acquisition of U.S.-based office and retail building
  • Represented a tenant in connection with a lease of over 100,000 square feet of office space in a mixed-use development
  • Represented buyers in connection with environmental and land use due diligence for various portfolio acquisitions of industrial and office properties
