John M. Steiner

Partner

John M. Steiner is a partner in our Boston office. He is also chair of the firm's Hiring Committee. Mr. Steiner is experienced in all types of real estate transactions, and his practice focuses on acquisitions, financings and development work. In particular, Mr. Steiner represents REITs in the office, hotel and senior housing industries in connection with their acquisition, leasing, disposition and financing of portfolios and individual properties. In addition, he is involved in various aspects of the development and financing of various properties in the Seaport District in South Boston.

Representative Client Work

  • Coordinated diligence efforts and acted as the lead associate in the closing of a $480,000,000 acquisition involving approximately 180 individually-leased commercial and industrial properties
  • Represented publicly-held office REIT in the $75 million acquisition of the office component of a multi-use development located in Indianapolis
  • Represented publicly-held hotel REIT in the $78 million acquisition of a multi-use development containing the only "five star" hotel in Baltimore
  • Represented publicly-held nursing home operator in $58 million acquisition of six senior living facilities in Pennsylvania
