Walter Nagel

Of Counsel

Walter Nagel is Of Counsel in our Washington D.C. office. He focuses his practice on tax and securities law. He handles federal securities law matters dealing with some of the largest mutual funds in the country in the areas of fund registrations and mergers and assisting directors in fulfilling their responsibilities. Mr. Nagel also represents Fortune 500 clients on tax matters, including tax policy and multi-million dollar tax controversies.

Mr. Nagel has strong experience in the corporate sector. Prior to joining Sullivan & Worcester, Mr. Nagel served as Vice President & General Tax Counsel for MCI and as the President of Peracon, an electronic commerce company. He has spent over a decade working on telecommunications and electronic commerce matters, has advised VoIP carriers and telecommunications resellers on tax issues and has counseled the Multistate Tax Commission in the development of the model telecommunications income tax statute.
