New USERRA Notice Requirement

Effective March 10, 2005, employers are required to provide employees with a notice of their rights under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act ("USERRA"). The notice has been posted by the Department of Labor on its website and can be found under the Veterans Employment and Training Service section. The notice should be posted where other employee notices are customarily posted, although employers may also fulfill their obligations by providing the notice to employees via regular or electronic mail or by hand delivery.
