The program discussed how different work assignment systems can ensure that all associates have an equal opportunity to progress at their appropriate year level, how critical these systems are to merit-based promotion, how to adjust work assignment systems in times of a down economy, how to apply work assignments equally between full-time and reduced-hour lawyers, and how to use work assignment systems as powerful tools for retaining diverse lawyers.
