Important Issues for Non-U.S. Lawyers and Their Clients
Sullivan & Worcester and Cushman & Wakefield presented "Part 1: Cross-Border Leasing of Real Estate and Office Space," the first in a series of luncheon seminars dealing with important U.S. issues in cross-border real estate transactions. Focus of discussion included business and legal transactions in the New York real estate market, including leasing of office space and related issues. Cross-border differences in pricing, valuation, legal constraints and documentation concerns were highlighted. Common problems and approaches were explored and discussed, including broker compensation issues and effective negotiation strategies.
