Attendees learned how a bankruptcy filing could affect licenses, patents, trademarks and other intellectual property when one of the parties enters bankruptcy, with a focus on recent cases and trends. Among other issues, the panel discussed sales and assignments in bankruptcy involving intellectual property, both from the perspective of the debtor as well as the nondebtor party to the agreement.
