Don't Forget Small Business in Tax Reform
Douglas S. Stransky wrote an article entitled "Don't Forget Small Business in Tax Reform," that appeared on CFO.com. In the article, Mr. Stransky argues that at the same time that Congress is considering corporate tax reform, it ought to also consider tax reform that would help small business too since such businesses represent the majority of businesses in the United States today. Indeed, small businesses create 67 percent of new jobs in this country and employ almost half of all American workers. In short, Mr. Stransky concludes that because "small businesses are the engine of our economy," reforming taxes for these businesses as well as large multinational corporations will make that engine "run more efficiently."
