Sullivan & Worcester LLP Adds Experienced Trial Lawyer Focusing on Technology and Privacy Disputes to New York Office

New York, NY – May 1, 2012 – Sullivan & Worcester LLP is pleased to announce that Gerry Silver has joined the Litigation Group as a partner in the New York office. Mr. Silver’s deep experience in software, privacy, cloud computing, internet and IT outsourcing disputes will augment the firm’s significant financial services-related litigation capabilities.

Mr. Silver has substantial trial experience in state and federal courts throughout the country, in appellate proceedings, and in U.S. and international arbitration. In addition to his focus on cutting-edge technology disputes, he also counsels hedge/private equity funds on financial services disputes, including securities fraud, as well as litigates complex contractual, IP and/or employment disputes and performs other business litigation as well. Previously, Mr. Silver was a partner at Chadbourne & Parke in New York.

Mr. Silver’s recent representations include the successful defense of a custom software developer of a telecommunications system against $100+ million in claims arising out of an alleged systems failure, representation of a cloud computing company to protect it against the raiding of key executives, the defense of Internet companies against claims of violating privacy policies and in connection with alleged data breaches, and obtaining dismissals of high-stakes employment discrimination actions.

Haig, ed.) West & NYCLA 2010.
