S&W Presents The 2011 Lock-Out Breakfast Featuring NE Patriots Matt Light and Sports Illustrated Columnist Peter King
Boston, MA – April 8, 2011 – Sullivan & Worcester LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has signed on as Presenting Sponsor for an exclusive event for football fans – the 2011 Lock-Out Breakfast.
Limited to the first 100 guests, this exclusive event will be held from 7:30-9:30 AM at Boston’s Liberty Hotel on Tuesday, April 26th. Joining New England Patriots left tackle Matt Light will be a surprise player, and joining renowned Sports Illustrated writer and NBC Sports analyst Peter King on the media side will be ESPN.com’s Mike Reiss, a longtime Patriots reporter.
“In connection with the recent expansion of our practice into the sports arena, we’re pleased to sponsor a charitable event that will provide insight and answers to some of the most pressing questions football fans are debating around town and online,” said Bill Curry, S&W’s Co-Managing Partner. “We look forward to an intriguing and thought-provoking morning.”
Light, an NFL players’ representative and current free agent, and King, a veteran sports journalist who’s covered previous work stoppages, will offer unique insight into the current and future state of football, insight you won’t get anywhere else. They’ll focus on:
- The Current Lock-Out and State of the CBA: the impact on the players, how they’re handling it off the field, and what’s being negotiated. From the historical side: past lockouts, and the likelihood of a resolution in time for the season.
- Free Agency: how the start of the league year is in limbo, as some 500 free agents wonder what the future holds and teams face the prospect of heading into the draft without filling needs in free agency or knowing what holes they’ll have by failing to sign their own free agents. As a free agent himself, Matt will reveal what this means to his career.
- The NFL Draft: with just a few days to go, both sides will preview the big stories expected to come out of the draft, how the lockout will affect the draft picks, which teams will benefit and which ones won’t.
Tickets are $250.00 each and all proceeds benefit The Light Foundation. Included in the tax-deductible donation of $250.00/person: autographed photos of panelists for all attendees, question and answer session with the pros, exclusive giveaways, and national and local media exposure for event, attendees, and access to the latest news and inside scoop about the biggest story in sports right now!
