Berkenblit and John M. Steiner to partner in its Corporate and Real Estate Departments respectively. As a partner in the firm's Corporate Department, Howard Berkenblit specializes in counseling public and private companies involved in equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, ongoing corporate governance and disclosure matters, stock exchange listing standards and Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance. He frequently advises Israeli and other international companies seeking to have their securities traded in the U.S. Mr. Berkenblit also helps start-up enterprises establish and grow their businesses. He has written and spoken on many subjects including Sarbanes-Oxley and a range of securities law issues impacting U.S. and foreign companies. Berkenblit has also served as senior corporate counsel for Stream International Inc., now part of ECE Holdings, Inc. He is a member of the American, Massachusetts and Boston Bar Associations and a director of the Massachusetts Council on Economic Education. A graduate of Boston College Law School and the University of Pennsylvania, he lives in Sharon, Mass. As a partner in Sullivan & Worcester's Real Estate Department, John Steiner offers experience in all types of real estate transactions, focusing his practice on acquisitions, financings and development work. He is co-chair of the Boston Bar Association's Real Estate Finance Committee. He often represents REITs in the office, hotel and senior housing industries in connection with their acquisition, leasing, disposition and financing of portfolios and individual properties. In addition, he is involved in the development and financing of properties in South Boston's Seaport District. A member of Sullivan & Worcester's Hiring Committee, Steiner is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Boston College. He lives in Dedham, Mass.
