Hiring Process

We look for candidates with the motivation, innovation, and talent to handle challenging legal and business matters with confidence. Since we typically work in small teams, we also look for individuals who want to work in a collaborative environment and who are ready to take responsibility for dealing directly with clients and opposing counsel. Academic excellence, work experience, personal skills, leadership qualities and analytical ability are also taken into consideration.

On-Campus Interviews:

Each year, we conduct on-campus interviews at a variety of law schools throughout the Northeast. If we're interviewing at your school, please submit your resumé and law school transcript through your career office. If we're  not able to offer you an on-campus interview or if you attend a law school where we don't conduct on-campus interviews, please send a resumé, cover letter, and law school transcript to Janet Brussard, Director of Legal Recruiting.

Office Interviews:

Candidates invited to interview at the firm will be asked to contact Janet Brussard to schedule an interview date. Typically, you'll meet with four attorneys, including a member of the Hiring Committee. We'll do our best to design an interview schedule that allows you to meet a cross-section of partners and associates who share your stated interests. If you interview with us in the morning, we'd welcome the opportunity to take you to lunch. Decisions are made on a rolling basis, and the Hiring Committee makes every effort to respond to each candidate within two weeks.
