International Interests

Sullivan & Worcester has built its international capability carefully, using non-traditional structures with the best foreign firms, cutting edge international joint ventures, exclusive international alliances and closely monitored international referral relationships. There is no one-size-fits-all model for the many countries we are connected to — we focus on finding the arrangement that works best for our clients and partners within the economical and cultural context of the country.

From a client service perspective, and for the success of our own business, Sullivan & Worcester has committed itself considerably to being equipped to facilitate international business flow while remaining independent and absent of conflicts of interest. Our goals for our international commitments have always been to a) make it easier for our clients to conduct international deals; b) help our clients achieve their international and strategic business objectives; and c) maximize the potential for business flow between the countries involved.

"Going international" used to be a consideration only for the well-known, large-cap domestic companies; however, these thresholds of size and revenue are withering away. Emerging companies are seeing international markets to be as attractive, if not more attractive, than domestic markets for reasons including: business development, workforce recruitment, R&D and manufacturing. "Going international" can provide the means by which companies grow their market share, increase cost efficiencies and maintain competitiveness.

Our individual country pages describe our relationships and capabilities in both emerging and established international markets as well as the work we do with international companies that are building their presence in the U.S. The common theme throughout our relationships with foreign firms is a consistent vision of how a client should be serviced and advised as they develop their own international scope.
